File a Police Report Online

If this is an emergency, call 9-1-1 immediately.  Do not use this system.

Welcome to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) Online Police Reporting System. This service allows you to submit certain types of police reports and print a free copy for your records.

You may use this system to report the following incident types:

  • Lost Property
  • Theft – Under $950 (excluding firearms, vehicles, and license plates)
  • Vandalism
  • Vehicle Tampering – No damage occurred
  • Hit-and-Run
  • Harassing Phone Calls
  • Civil Matters
  • Supplemental Reports – Additions to an existing report

Note: If your incident involves known suspects or evidence, it cannot be filed online and will be denied, even if it falls under one of the above categories.

Before You Begin:

You may proceed with your report only if you answer NO to all of the following:

    • Did the incident occur on a state highway or freeway?

  • If denied, you will receive an email explaining the reason(s).
  • If approved, you will receive a confirmation email with your official report number.
  • You may print a copy for your records.
