Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Daily Liquor License
Events held in unincorporated Alameda County that include the sale of alcoholic beverages without a permanent liquor license must obtain a temporary “ABC Liquor License.” The ABC’s Daily License Application and instructions can be found on their website at https://www.abc.ca.gov/licensing/license-forms/form-abc-221-instructions/
Applicants in unincorporated Alameda County must complete the Daily Liquor License Letter Application in its entirety and submit at your earliest convenience as processing of this application may take up to 4 weeks. If approved, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office will provide the applicant an approval letter addressed to the Alcoholic Beverage Control to be submitted with their final application. It is the applicant’s responsibility to submit all required documentation to the local ABC office for final review.
The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office fee for a “Daily Liquor License Letter” is $50.00 per event. Any breaks in the dates requested will constitute a separate event, resulting in the need for a separate application and associated $50.00 fee. The fee is due upon receipt of the completed Daily Liquor License Letter.
Completed applications can be mailed or delivered in person to:
