    We proudly celebrated the graduation of the 184th Academy Class, marking the completion of their training and the beginning of their service as law enforcement professionals throughout the Bay Area. The graduation was shared with multiple partner agencies, including the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, Alameda PD, Antioch PD, BART PD, Berkeley PD, Concord PD, Fremont PD, Hayward PD, Livermore PD, Oakland Housing Authority PD, San Francisco Sheriff’s Office, San Leandro PD, San Mateo Sheriff’s Office, San Mateo PD, Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety, and Vallejo PD.

  • 9-1-1 GOES TO WASHINGTON

    Last week, two Alameda County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services Dispatchers (ESD) and over 350 9-1-1 professionals from across the United States attended the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) conference 9-1-1 Goes to Washington (D.C.). The weeklong conference allowed ESD Supervisor Bernardi and ESD Filoteo to speak with several members of Congress and the Senate to help secure Federal funding for the Next Generation 911 (NG911) project, which will advance the capabilities of 911 throughout the nation. Currently, 911 or E911 is a land wire-based legacy system with limited capabilities regarding the current technology that today's cellular and VOIP users may require.

  • Community Alert: Beware of Sheriff Impersonation Scams

    The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) is alerting the community to ongoing scams involving individuals falsely claiming to be ACSO deputies. Scammers are using spoofed phone numbers and the names of real personnel to appear legitimate. One recent scam involves false claims of early release from Santa Rita Jail in exchange for payment. ACSO will never request money or personal information by phone, text, or email.
