    Scammers are impersonating Alameda County Sheriff's Office deputies using spoofed local phone numbers and the names of real employees to demand money. A recent scam falsely claims a loved one at Santa Rita Jail can be released early if you pay for an electronic ankle monitor. ACSO will never call, text, or email to demand payment for releases, warrants, missed court appearances, or any law enforcement matter.
